Marc's mom and brother, Leona and Danny, visited us over the Thanksgiving week-end and flew back to Winnipeg last Thursday. It was one of the best 3-day week-ends ever, with sunny skies and pleasant weather. We took a drive out to the Gatineaus in time to catch the end of fall colours. There was also a harvest moon. Next step was to stuff the turkey. Our first turkey at 320 Crichton was a success, it was a great asset to have a turkey expert on the premises...thanks Leona. Marc and I had a pie showdown. My pumpkin pie filling drew rave reviews, but Marc took the piecrust-maker title. We dined in Wakefield on Thanksgiving day at the old train station and also saw the old steam train pull up. We wrapped up the week with dinner at a little italian place in our neighbourhood, Il Vagabondo, and gambling at the Casino, where Danny and I cleaned house. For more pics, click here.
